Jacey Goddard, D.O.

Board certified: Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/OMM · Integrative Medicine · Family Medicine

A West Virginia native, Dr. Goddard received her BS in Biology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

She completed her residency in Family Medicine and her fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Eastern Maine/Northern Light Medical Center in Bangor, Maine — where she served as faculty physician and NMM/OMM Fellowship Director. She later served as a Faculty Preceptor at Maine Medical Center's Department of Integrative Medicine, and is now Adjunct Professor for UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine and Biodynamics of Osteopathy teaching faculty.

Her own personal health journey has informed her care of patients, and she now brings the power of the mind-body connection to profound self-care — through on-demand courses, in-person classes, and personalized one-on-one sessions.

Dr. Goddard's hobbies include cross-country skiing, gardening, and kayaking.

Daniel Gibbons, D.O.

Board certified: Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/OMM · Integrative Medicine · Family Medicine

Dr. Gibbons grew up in Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Holistic Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine.

He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Maine Dartmouth in Augusta, Maine, and his fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine — where he now serves as adjunct faculty and as teaching faculty in the Biodynamics of Osteopathy curriculum. He is also part of the Hospital Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine service at Maine Medical Center, where he does inpatient osteopathic consults one day per week.

Dr. Gibbons has been interested in the mind-body-spirit connection and the nature of healing from early on — he became a Reiki Master in his early 20s and pursued a degree in Holistic Health, which led him to osteopathic medicine. He continues to hold a profound appreciation for the spiritual connections to the Health that are deeply explored in his Mind-Body-Spirit healing sessions.

Dr. Gibbons enjoys banjo, guitar, kayaking, hiking, skiing, and beekeeping.

Why certifications matter

Osteopathic physicians are fully licensed doctors — medical school, hospital residency, and 120–150 hours of continuing medical education every three years. Family Medicine training involves medical treatment for all ages, including pediatrics and obstetrics, and gives us an understanding of a wide range of problems, their underlying causes, and the complexities and limitations of conventional medical practice. Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/OMM is the specialty devoted to hands-on diagnosis and treatment; Integrative Medicine adds the holistic, nutritional, and mind-body dimension. Very few physicians hold all three. For more information, visit our FAQs.
